The First 5 Days (The Curing Window)

• Do Not Roll Down Your Windows: Keep your windows completely rolled up for the first 5 full days (120 hours). Rolling them down too early can catch the edges and peel or ruin the film.

• Avoid Pressing on the Glass: Do not press on the film, clean the inside of the windows, or mount any suction cups (like phone mounts) during this initial period.

The First 14 Days (What to Expect)

• Water Haze & Cloudiness: You might notice a temporary cloudy or hazy look. This is completely normal and is simply moisture trapped underneath the film during installation.

• Small Water Pockets: These are not permanent air bubbles; they are tiny pockets of water that will dry out completely as the film settles. Do not touch, press, or try to pop them.

• The Fast Fix: Parking your vehicle outside in direct sunlight will drastically speed up this natural drying process.

The Long-Term Cleaning Protocol

Once your film is fully cured (after 14 days), use these simple guidelines to keep your windows looking brand new:

• Ammonia-Free Cleaners Only: Never use glass cleaners that contain ammonia (like standard blue Windex). Ammonia will degrade the protective layers and UV blockers in your tint, causing it to ruin over time.

• Microfiber Towels Only: Always use a clean, soft microfiber towel. Completely avoid paper towels, napkins, or newspapers—their rough, wood-based fibers will cause tiny micro-scratches all over your film.

• The Two-Towel Trick: Use one towel dampened with your glass cleaner to lift away fingerprints and dirt. Follow up immediately with a second dry microfiber towel for a flawless, streak-free polish.

Ceramic Coatings

The 14-Day Curing Window
During the first two weeks, your coating is settling and hardening. Following these rules is required to protect your finish and keep your warranty valid.

• Water Exposure (First 48 Hours): Keep the vehicle completely dry. Avoid rain, sprinklers, or wet roads. If the car does get wet from unexpected rain or road spray, do not wipe it. Gently blot the water spots dry using a clean, plush microfiber towel.

• No Washing (First 14 Days): Do not wash your car or use any chemical cleaners during the first two weeks. The coating is still hardening, and any premature rubbing or friction can cause fine wash scratches.

• Bird Droppings & Bug Splats: If bugs, tree sap, or bird droppings land on the car during the curing phase, clean them off immediately using a pH-neutral quick detailer spray and a soft towel. Do not let them sit and bake in direct sunlight.

The Long-Term Cleaning Protocol

To maintain the hydrophobic "self-cleaning" properties and high-gloss index, follow this technical washing sequence every 10–14 days.

• The Contact Wash (Two-Bucket Method): To safely clean the paint, always use the two-bucket wash method equipped with grit guards and a high-quality microfiber or chenille wash mitt. This stops dirt from rubbing back onto your paint and causing fine scratches.

• Drying Your Vehicle: Never let your car air-dry. The heavy mineral content in Massachusetts municipal water will leave behind permanent, ugly calcium water spots. Always use a dedicated leaf blower/car air dryer or a plush microfiber drying towel to dry the surface completely.

Regional Maintenance Advisory (Massachusetts Weather)

New England weather can be incredibly harsh on vehicles. Follow these seasonal tips to keep your ceramic coating performing flawlessly year-round:

• Winter Care (Road Salt & Brine): Road salt and chemical brines are highly corrosive. During freezing months, frequently give your car a high-pressure, touchless undercarriage rinse to blast away winter salt buildup.

• Spring Care (Pollen Season): Massachusetts pollen is thick and sticky. During May and June, increase how often you wash your car. Heavy pollen layers will temporarily clog the coating, masking its slickness and water-beading performance.

• Summer & Fall Care (UV Protection): While your ceramic shield blocks intense sun rays, we recommend applying a Top-Coat Hydro-Refresher (Ceramic Coating Spray) every 3 to 4 months. This quickly restores maximum slickness, deep gloss, and an extra layer of protection.

• ⚠️ Warning: Never take your vehicle through a friction-based (automatic brush) car wash. These will instantly swirl, scratch, and degrade your coating.

Warranty & Support

Annual Coating Maintenance
To keep your multi-year warranty active, an annual Decontamination Wash & Inspection is required at our Lab. Over a year of driving, your car builds up microscopic road grime, iron brake dust, and industrial pollution that normal washing simply cannot remove.

Bring it back to us once a year, and we will:

• Deep-Clean the Coating: Use professional iron-removers and specialized clay treatments to safely pull-out deep contamination and completely unclog the coating's pores.

• Restore the Performance: Revive the hyper-slickness, extreme gloss, and water-beading properties back to day-one standards.

• Inspect & Verify: Look over the entire vehicle together to ensure the coating is wearing perfectly, give you personalized care tips, and officially renew your warranty coverage for the upcoming year.

Paint Corrections

The 14-Day Stabilization Period

The first two weeks are critical for letting your freshly polished clear coat settle, especially if a ceramic coating was applied immediately after the correction.

• No Washing (First 48 Hours): Avoid washing the vehicle for at least 48 hours (and up to 14 days if you received a ceramic coating package) to let the finish fully cure.

• Protect the Finish: Whenever possible, park the vehicle inside a garage or under a carport to shield the fresh finish from unexpected rain, bird droppings, and intense sun exposure. Avoid using tight car covers, as wind movement can rub the cover fabric against the paint and cause fine scratches.

• Spot Clean Immediately: If bird droppings or sticky tree sap land on the paint during this curing window, gently blot them away immediately with a damp microfiber cloth and a quick detailer. Never scrub or rub the spot.

The Long-Term Cleaning Protocol

Standard automatic drive-through car washes are the single biggest cause of paint destruction, swirl marks, and scratches. To preserve your mirror-like finish, we strictly recommend a careful hand-wash process:

• The Two-Bucket Wash Method: Use one bucket filled with soapy water and a second "clean water" bucket to thoroughly rinse your wash mitt between panels. This completely stops dirt from rubbing back onto your paint.

• Pure pH-Neutral Soaps: Only use dedicated automotive shampoos with a pH-balanced formula. Completely avoid household dish soaps like Dawn, which will quickly strip away your vehicle's protection.

• Microfiber Tools Only: Wash your car exclusively using high-quality microfiber wash mitts and ultra-plush drying towels. If a towel or mitt ever touches the garage ground, discard it or deep-clean it immediately before touching your paint again.

• Dry Completely: Never let your car air-dry under the sun, as the minerals in tap water will leave behind tough water spots. Use a soft microfiber drying towel or an air blower to clear water safely out of all crevices.

Maintenance & Support

Paint correction removes micro-defects from your clear coat to unlock incredible shine, making ongoing protection essential to lock in that flawless look.

• Coated Vehicles: Schedule a professional ceramic maintenance detail with us every 6 to 12 months. This deep-cleans the surface and refreshes the coating's water-beading performance.

• Uncoated Vehicles: If you didn't get a ceramic coating, make sure to apply a high-quality wax or synthetic paint sealant every 3 to 4 months to shield your bare clear coat from weathering and fading.

• Decontamination Wash: We recommend a professional decontamination service every 6 months to safely dissolve embedded road iron, rail dust, and environmental buildup, keeping your paint glass smooth.
